About the event
A chance to bring together diverse voices with a variety of experiences from brand ambassadors to academics to government branding experts. A chance to challenge the status quo, ask some tough questions, deep think about the Country's we live in and why.
"In 2020, the first NBI measurement since the COVID-19 Pandemic, the United States and China are the nations with the most notable declines on overall NBI rank. The United States - which held NBI’s top spot on seven occasions: in 2009-2013, 2015, and 2016 - has dropped four positions from sixth place in 2019 to 10th place in 2020." https://www.ipsos.com/en-ca/news-polls/Germany-Retains-Top-Nation-Brand-Ranking-the-United-Kingdom-emerges-ahead-of-Canada-to-Round-Out-the-Top-Three-US-and-China-Experience-Significant-Decline
This is not a discussion about the politics of a country - or is it?, but rather about how nation brands are built, faulter, and decline. If the US nation brand was on a decline pre-Covid, pre-election, where does it stand now?
Those attending will be given 1 mandatory pre-read article with some supplementary reading options. Attendees will also be invited to contribute to the knowledge base for this event.
This is not a workshop - it is a discussion forum. My goal is that you talk more than I do, which means you will need a good microphone and an environment suitable for a virtual discussion.
